Asian Snack Stickers

Sticker Illustration Design

sticker2-1

For my sticker design project, I was inspired by a childhood snack that I still love to this day: lychee coconut jelly cups. These treats hold a special place in my memories and I wanted to create a design that would evoke a similar sense of nostalgia for others.

To achieve this, I drew a container of jelly cups rather than an individual cup. I felt that this would bring people more nostalgia and remind them of the time when they used to have containers of jelly cups in their homes. I also mentioned that my personal favorite way to eat these treats is by freezing the cups and eating them when they are frozen, as I believe this adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.

This sticker design was inspired by a popular Asian candy called 小白兔 (small white rabbit). This candy is a hard but chewable milk-flavored treat that is wrapped in edible rice paper. The packaging of the candy features a beautiful design, which I believe shows a black painting palette with blue and red paint behind a cute bunny.

Though I don't enjoy the candy as much these days due to its hardness, I was excited to discover that the brand has recently released an ice cream version of their candy. I love to eat the ice cream version of 小白兔, which inspired me to create a sticker design that captures the unique qualities of this brand. I am proud of the sticker design I created and believe it captures the unique and memorable qualities of 小白兔.

This sticker design was inspired by a unique and delicious ice cream treat that I first encountered at an Asian supermarket in my teenage years. Known as Binggrae Samanco Ice Cream Sandwiches, these treats feature a creamy vanilla base with a center of red bean paste, though they are available in a variety of flavors including strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, and green tea with red bean paste. I personally refer to these treats as red bean fish bun ice cream, as the shape of the ice cream sandwich is reminiscent of a popular Asian snack. I referenced the original vanilla with red bean paste flavor and incorporated elements of the original packaging into the design.

This sticker design was inspired by the popular Korean brand of shrimp crackers. Known for their crunchy, salty flavor with a distinct shrimp taste, these crackers are a beloved snack in Korea and beyond. While there are also Japanese and Chinese brands of shrimp crackers available, I wanted to draw inspiration from the brand that I have personally enjoyed the most. The end result is a colorful and playful design that captures the essence of these tasty treats. The design also aims to bring a sense of fun and nostalgia to those who have tried this beloved snack."

Working on this project allowed me to tap into my own memories and design a sticker that reflects my personal experiences and tastes. I am proud of the sticker design I created and believe it will bring a sense of joy and nostalgia to others.
