Marketing + Design
As a remote designer for Operation Arts Foundation, a Maryland-based nonprofit art organization, I am responsible for creating and scheduling social media content for the organization. I use the design program Canva to create visually appealing posts, which I schedule using a scheduling website called Buffer. To ensure that I am consistently posting relevant content, I use a social media calendar to plan out my designs weeks in advance and get them approved before scheduling them for posting.
I follow a consistent posting schedule, with specific types of content for each day of the week. On Mondays, I design Art Weekly posts using templates and captions from the Operation Arts website. Wednesdays are dedicated to Webinar Wednesday, for which I download and edit videos, choosing the most relevant clips and adding transitions to create engaging content. On Fridays, I research and share grants, scholarships, fellowships, and residencies available for artists in the Maryland area for Feature Friday. Finally, on Sundays I share social content relevant to the organization and its mission.
Overall, my work with Operation Arts Foundation has allowed me to develop my skills in social media design and content creation, as well as project management and organization. I am proud of the consistent and engaging content I have created for the organization and its followers.
